Breakfast was amazing!!! We wish we were able to stay longer. Oh and the coffee. Make sure to buy some before you leave!!!

At the guest house, all units include bed linen and towels. Selva Linda lodge is the perfect place to stay especially if you have a car. The lodge has rooms where you balcony opens into the jungle, with hammocks. No need for a TV. As with previous reviews Cat was an amazing host. The pool was wonderful to cool off in after a day at the Park. There are cooking facilities or you can drive into Quespos which is about 6mins away for Restaurants. We chose ho cook. Lots of wildlife surrounding you with monkeys and birds/ butterflies. Just wished that we could have stayed longer..

Beautiful light, comfortable bed, absolutely marvelous host, and a stunning cook as well! Just be prepared that you will access the house via a steep gravel road just slightly outside of the main part of Santa Elena. It's good to have an SUV with good ground clearance in Monteverde and this is no different.

Guest House Pura Vida was our favourite stay in a month of travelling in Costa Rica. We loved meeting and chatting with our hosts Jorge and Pamela who, thanks to their own love and experiences of traveling, put a lot of thought and care into creating a welcoming place for travellers. This was especially evident by the common areas such as the kitchen, which was beautifully arranged over a second-storey balcony. There was some secret sauce that made the space extra-inviting and we had many easy and warm interactions with other guests. Our room was surprisingly spacious and had lots of neat decorative touches to make it feel like home. The property itself was beautiful, with amazing views of the mountains from the common areas, a tree in the courtyard where macaws would visit, and a little stream behind the property. The location, just a few minutes up the hill from the town centre, was quiet and safe (parking either inside the courtyard, or out front on a quiet gravel road). Finally, it's one of the cleanest places I have EVER stayed at, even compared to higher-end hotels etc. etc. I really couldn't ask for anything more if I tried!

A flat-screen TV is provided. Cleanliness, friendliness and how comfortable the place was. The a/c and the fan worked seamlessly well. The shower was a dream come true after sweltering day at the beach. Really well run establishment in great location and secured garage. Booked one night buy stayed two. Planning to stay there again on our way back from Osa Penninsula.
