Our stay at the Amazilia Guesthouse came close to perfection. The staff was friendly, the accomodation perfectly clean, with a working A/C and ample space to put your things. But it was the little things which really stood out in comparison to other accomodations in Costa Rica: the good toilet paper, as opposed to the one where you can see through. A hot shower with sufficient water pressure. A non-leaking shower cabin. Good light and a good mirror in the bathroom. A well-working and clean dustbin, where you don´t have to worry about your personal safety when putting the used toilet paper in. We even got a packed breakfast as we had to leave early on our last day. The location requires a car and is quite remote, but perfect if you plan accordingly and want to visit the (equally remote) Rincon de la Vieja National Park. All in all, highly recommended!

I never gave a 10star review until now. Had a perfect stay. Thank you. Close to beach, yoga and restaurants but completely quiet. Kindest, helpful host and people working there. Super clean and equipped with even more than the necessary. Loved it and will come back :)

This place is Costa Rica in miniature. Howler monkeys dropping fruit from the trees, birds everywhere and a beautiful bay just one minute walk away. Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable within peaceful gardens full of wildlife. Our first stop after the airport and we felt like we really had just landed in Costs Rica.

Location location On the quieter end of the town. 1 minute to beachfront. Boogie Boards and deck chairs available to borrow. 2 minutes to supermarket. Attentive hosts. If we ever came again we would stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at Casa Mapache. The grounds are beautiful with lots of greenery. The patio area and pool were amazing. The room was very clean and the bed and linens were amazingly comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I recommend staying here. 10/10
