I went with my 12 year old daughter, it's a perfect place to take kids.

This property has a magical view of the river, with a simple and welcoming pool area. Regina, the hostess, is an energetic and very friendly woman. Ask Regiane for a caipirinha because it’s delicious. The food is excellent, and there are many tours available. A special mention goes to Daniel, who speaks perfect English and is an extremely skilled guide! Have fun!

Vista do Lago Jungle Lodge is a recently renovated guest house in Cajual, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and bar. This guest house offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. What a fantastic time we had staying at the lodge. We hired a brilliant English speaking guide and a boat pilot for the week through the lodge (additional to the accommodation costs) and they organised an itinerary to tour the local area and beyond. The food was great and varied (beef/chicken/pork/fish etc), including local fish that we caught in the day. It was amazing to live in the riverside community if only for a week, and we hope to come back in the wet season when the water is higher and the landscape has changed.

A recently renovated guest house in Manaus and within 48 km of Manaus Courthouse, Ponta Poranga Jungle Lodge has a garden, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. The property was built in 2014 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the lake and river. This neat and very well looked after jungle lodge is not only beautiful and authentic but also safe in the sense of bad surprises by snakes or spiders due to intelligent planting. Everything is done for the comfort and authentic jungle experience of the guests - only 5 chalets although they have space for very much more. I will never forget bathing in the beautiful stream which becomes a river in winter. The food was amazing and the tours very personal and intimate. However the best thing about this lodge is the owner, Alexandre, whose has a big heart for the animals and nature surrounding him. He agreed not only to feed the starving neighbors dog, but came up with the idea of taking that poor dying animal to his beautiful lodge, to feed it and even provide medical care. This is what we did on my last day - we went to the neighbor and brought the thinnest dog which wouldn't even move to his lodge, we washed it, fed it and provided first help for its damaged skin and open wounds. Alexandre is a very special person with a big big heart - God bless him and give him strength and power to help and care for those who so badly need it. My stay was an unforgettable, unique and beautiful experience - I will definitely be back to check on the rescued dog, who we renamed Mariposa, meaning a big brown butterfly in indigenous language and spend more time in this beautiful place.

The air-conditioned units have a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and kitchenware. All units are equipped with a kettle, a private bathroom and free WiFi, while selected rooms are fitted with a terrace and some have garden views. At the guest house, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. It's a cozy place in a good location. We stayed in two different rooms because we extended our stay. One had a lot more space but the bathroom was outside the room. The other one (junior suite) was smaller but still comfortable enough for us. The host was quite helpful and reasonable and answered our questions quite promptly. The location is very good, right next to the Amazon theater and close to many food places for different budgets. The kitchenette doesn't have a stove but there is a microwave, electric kettle, some other equipment and teas and small snacks as well. We found it more than good enough for some simple breakfast. Overall, a really great stay in a cozy place in a nice location.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Pousada Paraíso do Calango Azul is a recently renovated guest house situated in Presidente Figueiredo, 17 km from Amazon Acqua Park. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The guest house has family rooms. Absolutely awesome service and very comfortable rooms. Lovely location and delicious food made to order. The nearby small waterfalls were beautiful and a dip in the refreshing water after days adventures in surrounding areas was a perfect ending for an awesome visit. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with authentic regional cuisine. 100% recommend this place!
