The reception was very nice with Lucas (we arrived a bit late but he was there) Raquel the employee of the Refúgio was very kind and friendly. Everything was great, the tour to meet the pink dolphin, the Indigenous community and the beach. I loved the experience of the jungle and the bathroom? Blow my mind! I loved it

Community based so it’s very authentic.

A recently renovated guest house in Manaus and within 48 km of Manaus Courthouse, Ponta Poranga Jungle Lodge has a garden, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. The property was built in 2014 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the lake and river. The hotel and its surroundings are fantastically beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable, if a little basic and the outdoor spaces around the rooms are great. There isn't really a restaurant per se, but there are a number of places around the property where you can have breakfast and dinner and the food is excellent. There is not a big selection of drinks, especially alcohol. If there are particular drinks you like, even beer or wine or any hard booze other than capirxhinas, you need to bring your own. But the juices provided were fresh and there is plentiful bottled water. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful - although other than our guide who the hotel found for us, hardly anyone speaks anything other than Portuguese. The hotel offers a number of tours and the ones that are in the vicinity of the hotel are fun and interesting and easy. (See below for the only problem regarding this.) Paddling around in a canoe through the surrounding watery passageways through the jungle was great and our guide, Daniel, was incredibly knowledgeable about everything we were seeing and hearing.

It is situated less than 1 km from Cultural Center Amazonino Mendes and offers a shared kitchen. The guest house has family rooms. The staff is fantastic, very nice people and Celia is the perfect hostess, always attentive and kind. She went beyond all expectations! Thank you!! The location is perfect too. I also liked that the hostel is very shaded, with large trees covering the backyard and finally, the breakfast is amazing!

At the guest house, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. The check in was smooth even considering that we arrived at 4 am. They have codes in the doors so that you can check in when you want. We never saw the staff in person, but the communication was always smooth and fast though chat. The location is perfect and the room is really good for it's price
