Landlady was super helpful: we decided to stay one more night at the location, asked her during our breakfast but unfortunately her rooms were already booked, as it was Friday. Quick search in the booking.com app revealed most of the local properties were unavailable too, so she asked around and found an available room for us.

Located in Weitenegg on the Danube River, Wirtshaus Gruber offers direct access to the Danube Bicycle Trail and the Way of Saint James. Guests benefit from free WiFi and traditional Austrian cuisine in the restaurant. I stayed there with my 80 years old Dad and just can't be grateful enough for all the hospitality, helpfulness and kindness with which they have treated us. We spent an amazing 4 days there. The breakfast was great, big selection of everything. There's also a restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner, very very tasty. If we come back this place will be definitely our choice again.
