The rooms are in an old seminary with very tall ceilings and windows. Very bright and sunny. The room was beautiful and well appointed. The breakfast was superior, and our host Robert makes a wicked espresso or cappuccino. Don't be deceived by the maps, the Pension is a short 10 minute walk from Stift Melk and the town centre.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the room was spacious and clean, Andrea, the owner, went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable, the location was great and the castle ruins just above made a lovely backdrop!

Set directly on the riverbank of the Danube, the family-run Gasthof Haselberger offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The restaurant serves home-made cuisine and local wine.

We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival and we were able to store our bikes in the garage. We had a lovely room with a view over the Danube and a balcony. Beds were really comfortable and the shower was great. We were the only guests (as it was Sunday night) but we still had a full breakfast laid out for 2. We ate in the restaurant which was fine. The menu is very limited though. Overall, a lovely stay.
