Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant. We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely family run Gasthof. The staff was super. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and great seating area. The shower area was modern. Everything was very clean. It is conveniently located in the center of town. Breakfast was good too.

What a lovely guest house! The room was immaculate, spacious and tastefully modern, yet in a beautiful old style house. I got a room with a balcony and great view of the valley and mountains. The family who run the guesthouse are welcoming, friendly and super helpful. They are very knowledgeable about the hiking trails and skiing. The breakfast buffet is great, the location perfectly close to the village centre and a bus stop, the WiFi good and everything just worked out so well for me. This is a very good place to stay longer.
