The location is close enough to Lake Sevan to reach it on foot, and the Norashen Reserve is also nearby, but it’s best visited by car.

The location on Google Maps is incorrect, leading us to a home where a local family kindly helped us. They even drove us to what we thought was the correct address, with their three kids squeezed into the car with their mom and dad. However, once again, we ended up knocking on the wrong door. After an hour and a lot of warm-hearted assistance, we finally arrived at our destination. This experience became a memorable adventure, showing us just how friendly Armenians are. (Tip: Use Yandex Maps in this area. The guest house is the right-hand room on the 3rd floor of the outermost gate.) To our surprise, the interior was modern and well-equipped. The sofa bed, which is usually uncomfortable, was so cozy that we couldn't bring ourselves to get out of it. The place had everything we needed, including a kitchen to cook and make coffee. The water pressure was strong, even though the host warned us that the water might be turned off after midnight. Thankfully, that didn't happen during our stay. The location is great—just a 15-minute walk to the public beach and a five-minute walk to downtown.

Throughout the whole stay from the arrival until the departure, I felt very welcome. The guest family even invited me to eat dinner with them, I enjoyed the time with them a lot. All in all, it was a perfect stay. It's only a pity that I only stayed one night ;) If you are in the area, you have to stay at Moreni Guest House.

PATATES Guesthouse - Private Villa with Garden Near Lake Sevan, Martuni is a recently renovated villa in Martuni, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the villa's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. This is a large and comfortable house equipped with everything needed for a good leisure time of a big company. It has several cozy bedrooms; a spacious living room that can host the whole company, with a fireplace, several sofas, tv and sound system; bright kitchen with the full set of cutlery and cooking utensils, a washing and drying machine and a dedicated place for barbeque. The territory is a large green lawn, nice to see among the yellow landscape at the end of summer.

Guests at the guest house can enjoy a continental breakfast, and breakfast in the room is also available. Guests are welcome to eat in the on-site restaurant, which is open for dinner, lunch and brunch. This is a great family accommodation where the owners love the local history and archeology that goes back 5 thousand years. They prepared a great dinner and breakfast for us and ať the evening we had a nice time and talk together. I think this place will show you the real Armenia. This was the best accommodation during the time we were in Armenia.
