The room was very comfortable and breakfast was plentiful. Zukhra was very welcoming and speaks very good English. She is helping out her aunty over the summer and we wish her well. The location of the guesthouse is fantastic, next to a nice river and it has a nice garden. Less than 5 minute walk to the main entrance (west gate) to the old city. Would stay again and is excellent value for money.

Right in the middle of the Old City, Old Street Khiva offers a no frills stay. Run by a man and his wife who doubles up as the hotel's cleaning staff, this place is guaranteed to make you feel cosy and at home, which I absolutely loved. Check in was smooth and you can pay in USD or SOM and drinks were available though not free. Breakfast of an awesome variety was provided - please, and I really mean PLEASE try their homemade jam. It's super delicious! Bonus: if any of their kids are in the lobby (which is essentially their hall), please play with them!

We have had an amazing stay at the SAID-MAXSUN guest house. Arslan was very helpful, immediately meeting all our needs and requests. The breakfasts were super delicious (the best in Uzbekistan) and available no matter how early we started our day. The guest house has a very authentic look and feel, so it helps you to immerse yourself into the atmosphere of Khiva from the moment you come. Great thanks to everyone at the guest house for making our stay so cosy and special! If I come to Khiva again, I will definitely stay at the SAID-MAXSUN guest house.

The location was great, inside Itchan Kala but in an area not so crowded. The house was beautiful and spacious. The room was clean and fully equipped with AC, a comfortable bed and a private bathroom. The family was friendly and helpful and breakfast was good.

It’s the most comfortable accommodation we had in Uzbekistan and the breakfast was really good and various. The owner is lovely who always tries to help. We were able to check in when we arrived at 8am, which was amazing and made us so happy! He organised a trip to the fortresses for us, and we then got dropped off at Urgench train station. The place is less than 10min walk from the old town and less than 10 min walk from the train station.

The owner is kind and helpful. When I back sightseeing tiredly, he asked me to tea or coffee. Also, check out day, I should leave early morning, even though they prefer to breakfast and gave me some fruits. The room is tidying plugged, lamp and night table are bedside that useful.
