Absolutely amazing place! Top location, in the heart of Paje, 5 min from the beach and restaurants! Very quiet, cozy, high quality ! Very clean, very big room and bathroom ! Beautiful garden , kind of jungle. You even can have espresso coffee, wich is rare in Paje! Highly recommended!

I had an amazing stay at Roots Inn, right in the heart of Paje and just a short walk from the beach! The inn is located above the fantastic Roots Restaurant, where the Asian fusion food blew me away. Their Japanese gyoza dumplings and Kurozu karaage were absolute highlights! The inn is run by a lovely couple, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Despite Zanzibar’s occasional electricity issues, Roots Inn has a generator, which was super reassuring, and the WiFi was great too. If you’re looking for a cozy, budget-friendly spot to rest after exploring Zanzibar during the day, I’d highly recommend Roots Inn. Great value and an all-around wonderful experience!

Zanzistar is located in one of the most beautiful beaches in the island, far from the chaos in the north part. The hotel is located just a few steps from the beach and has a great relaxing vibe. The common area is super comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was very good always with an option of a local dish. Staff was very careful and Peter, the owner, was of great help suggesting some things to do around the island during our stay. They have a cathalog full of suggestions as well and can book it directly for you. Our stay was amazing! Super recommended!
