La maison de Şişik is a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is tastefully decorated, while honoring local traditions and atmospheres. The view from the terrace is splendid. Breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. We are particularly grateful to Ayşe for her kindness and generosity. Thanks to her, we were able to go on a horseback ride without worrying about the organization, discover the Rose Valley benefiting from her knowledge and explanations, and have long discussions about the local way of life, the differences with France, and our respective customs! Her impressive level of French must also be praised! Take the time to explore the collection of decorative objects carefully sourced by Şişik himself, to stroll on the terrace at sunrise or late in the afternoon, and to chat with Ayşe and Şişik to learn more about local life and the adventures surrounding this house. If you are lucky, you may even experience the traditional dinner organized by Ayşe with the help of her family. We highly recommend taking part! If you are looking for an experience close to the locals and the traditions of the region, La maison de Şişik is the perfect place. The location was perfect and very near Uchisar Castle and an amazing view point for the Hot air Balloons.. Excellent Turkish hospitality by the Staff. A family-run hotel that feels like family. All curiosity and questions about local life & history and locations will be answered and followed by recommendations on what to do. The location of the hotel is very good for those who like a more relaxed pace. Cavusin is a smaller village, (as the center of tourist life) Göreme. However, there are enough restaurants for dinners. Here you can start wonderful walks. There is also a hot air balloon launch site within walking distance. This means lots of big balloons around the hotel in the morning. The breakfast is made from local ingredients and is fresh and more abundant than the price level of the hotel would suggest.
