Had a really nice stay, very nice vibe and right by the beach. Room was clean and staff were very nice and accommodating

We stayed right on the canal—literally on the water—which gave the whole place a wonderfully bohemian charm. The room was lovely and comfortable. The hosts were extremely friendly and always helpful, and the breakfasts had a warm, personal touch that made each morning special. There’s even a fantastic hidden coffee spot right next door.

Such a nice place! Attention to every tiny detail! First of all very well located, many restaurants around, beach at 3 min with scooter. The room is spacious, with a private place in front. On the balcony there is a fan! On the top of that you can borrow for free a beach towel, snorkel or flippers. The breakfast was very good as well.

I loved it, I didn't think I will cos of the location but the bungalow and the view were super nice!. I totally recommend. You will need a scooter to get around though.

Silent spot in the jungle. Matteo is very attentive, helpful and friendly host. Very rich breakfast. Beach and fisherman's village in 2 minutes by motorbike. Motorbikes are directly available with the house.

We originally booked just two nights because we were a bit unsure – mainly due to the limited number of reviews and the fact that it’s called a “hostel.” But we ended up extending our stay by another four nights and had a wonderful time! The few reviews are simply because the place only opened last year. The term “hostel” is actually a bit misleading – there are just three private single rooms (with shared bathrooms), so it’s much quieter and more private than you might expect. The host also plans to build a shared dorm on the other side of the building in the future. One of the best things is the price – it’s very affordable compared to most other places on Koh Kood. Despite the low cost, everything was always clean, especially the bathroom. The host was super friendly and always responded quickly to messages. There’s a fridge and a small kitchenette with dishes downstairs in the shared area. Each room has a shelf for your stuff and a fan, and the doors are fitted with extra insect screens. (If you’re sensitive to bugs, you might want to bring a mosquito net – there’s room to hang one over the bed.) We had one of the two rooms upstairs and loved the terrace – it was perfect for hanging our hammock and gym rings, and we had plenty of space to dry clothes. Every evening, a few tokay geckos would show up, which – as you might know – are considered good luck in Thailand! The location is also great – relatively quiet, with a few restaurants, small shops, a laundry, and a pharmacy all nearby. Ao Taphao Beach is just 1.5 km away, and the whole island is easy to explore by scooter, which you can rent directly from the host at a fair price. In short: this is a budget-friendly place that delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re looking for more luxury, you’ll probably need to spend a bit more. But for what it is, we thought it was great – and we really don’t understand the negative reviews!

This is the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful island of Koh Kood. A big thank you to the staff and owner at small guesthouse. I can't forget to mention the breakfast!!! These people make such delightful breakfast which is included in the price. Location is perfect for a quiet getaway.
