Location was great, very close to the University, restaurants and sightseeing. There was paid parking out front which was relatively inexpensive for our stay, the shared kitchen was clean and filled with tea and coffee. The use of the full sized fridge was a bonus as we were able to keep all of our beverages cold, it was over 30*C so cold drinks were a must.

Susana was an amazing host, and little Arya too! They both warmly welcomed us with a wide smile, alongside some cute gifts, a cool Praxis beer and many treats for our dog... and a puppy bed that served as a soft pillow. It's not easy to find amazing stays that are truly pet-friendly as well. Location-wise, it's walking distance from Coimbra's downtown though it might still be better to use a car since it's a bit of a climb. There's a supermarket, a few cafés, and most points-of-interest south-west of the river close-by. The room has it own entrance and a small patio, which is convenient (Susana lived upstairs), and it was very cozy and well decorated. While it does not have a kitchenet per-se, it actually felt more like an apartment, and would be great for shorter stays or those looking to eat out more often (the city has tons of great restaurants). The microwave and coffee-maker should fulfill most needs.

Amazing history, amazing Host that really gauged and respected how much information we wanted to receive. Very engaging or would very much respect privacy if required. I loved to hear all the helpful information that the host was able to provide. Beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and coffees were great. It was raining while we were there but very much enjoyed our overnight stay. It was special and so will be your stay here.
