Casa de La Chola is an exceptional stay in the Sacred Valley. It’s out of town but you can use a collectivo or private driver to easily explore the region. The place is well set out to relax, with amazing views from the garden and comfortable facilities. Tony is a great host - very responsive and accommodating - but a particularly great chef. We rated our dinners here as some of the best food on our South American trip.

This property was absolutely lovely. We were treated like family. The guest house was close to the main square, but still very quiet. There were great views of the surrounding hills from the upstairs balcony. The breakfast was delicious, and they even packed us a breakfast on the day of our early departure to Machu Picchu.

Very helpful and polite owners of the hotel. Good localization by the road that leads directly to train station. Simple breakfast included in price and possible lunch box when leave early in the morning.

I stayed two nights at El Chasqui and it was a great find. Its a walk up the hill from the train station and easily found on the corner of the main street. Check in was easy, English was spoken and staff were friendly. The room was facing the inside courtyard, the bed was comfy, everything spotlessly clean and at night very quiet. The location is central for everything, restaurants and shop are all around and the Ollantaytambo Sanctuary is opposite. I was catching an early train to Machu Picchu so the hotel provided a complimentary packed lunch for me. Breakfast is provided in the coffee shop next door (2 fried eggs + bread, coffee and juice). I would definitely recommend El Chasqui to anyone visiting Ollantaytambo, you won't be disappointed.

The location was the greatest. Really central, but quiet. The owners were so caring, helped me a lot; they booked me a transport from Cusco airport, special breakfast options., heated my take away supper..) The place felt home like; local art on the wall in happy colours, less like a formal hotell. The breakfast was delicious; plentyful and the extra of a quinoa porridge at no extra cost. It was so clean, I felt comfortable walking in the common areas with just socks on-good after a long day. At one moment I was out of toilet paper, more came within minutes.
