We were just there for a short stay but it was lovely. We are travelling a lot, and when you do, you need three things: security via attentive staff, hot showers and a comfortable, warm bed. Mapi Gardens has all three. The shower was amazing, a waterfall showerhead and no problem trying to find the right 'code' to break with the hot and cold taps, like other places can have! We left at 5:30am for Machu Picchu, and were able to leave a small bag with reception for the day, until we returned for an afternoon train. The beds are comfortable and have the quilt and blankets needed for a warm night's rest. Everything is very clean. As with any hotel at this price point, you can hear some outside noises, and other guests if they are loud. We had someone next door who cleared their throat too much haha. If noise bothers you, bring earplugs. Note: there are stairs to get to your room. This is not a place to stay if you are unable to climb stairs. Otherwise, it is great and absolutely perfect for a stay at Aguas Calientes!

The hosts! Possibly the best host experience of my life! Yenifer and her family were so incredibly lovely during our stay. It felt like being part of the family: from the moment they insisted on picking us up from the train station to conversation over breakfast to letting us store our bags an entire day to making sure we didn't forget our medicine in the fridge. Then, to cap it all, after we left, we thought we had left a small bag in Machu Picchu. Not only did the Inkari team look everywhere in the hostal, but they went down to the train station and spoke with the staff there and also made a lost items report that was detailed and effective (long story, short: we got our bag). They didn't need to do any of this! I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay and, especially, these people!

Located away from the loud center but there was still some music you could hear comming from outside. It was a really nice and clean room and a good location for a trip to Matchu Pichu. Even though I checked-out early, they let me take a shower when I came back from Matchu Pichu.

Picos house is located walking distance from the train station and but outside from the noisy aguas Calientes. Carlos was super attentive and even wait for us ar the station. The house is new and it has the best terrace where you can seat and relax, have breakfast and enjoy the amazing views. We travel with our 4 yearly old daughter and she loved it. Carlos even has toys in the terrace and the house is located few steps from an amazing playground populated with local kids. We all had a great time and highly recommend it. Gracias Carlos !

very good location host picked us up at the train station very good breakfast buffet (fresh different types of bread, joghurt with cereales, different types of fruits, coffee, tea, ham, cheese, jam, butter ..) everything is refilled all the time, we even got a lunch packet because we left very early for Machu Picchu everything was clean and we had hot showers with good pressure very friendly staff and host
