Comfortable bed, great shower and the service was above and beyond (eg we could leave our luggage in the room to be collected for storage during a two day hike and it was in our room when we returned, and, we were given a breakfast box when having an early start)

What a place! It is such an impressive building - so grand. The staff were lovely - very helpful and hardworking. It was exceptionally quiet. We were on the ground floor at the back and felt like we had the sunny garden to ourselves. We had a massive room and a big bathroom and even an entrance sitting room. The decor makes you feel like you are staying in a 1920s castle. A characterful place. You had to walk up the hill to the town centre but it was only about 10 minutes & this meant the nights were quiet. Plenty of hot water.

We stayed here twice, the first room was so beautiful with incredible rooms over the city. It has a very cute communal area that can be used by the three different rooms with nice touches, and behind the beds is the white arequipa rock. Both rooms were very comfortable and spacious.
