Armando is very warm and kind host. my room was next to the lagoon, perfect place to see the sunrises. There is a beautiful area to chill on the shore of the lagoon. the hotel is 5k away from Bacalar town, so one needs either rental car or taxi to get to city center.

This place is like heaven. Unfortunately we only booked for one night but we wished we could stay more. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and exactly how you see in the pictures. There is a dock to jump in the water and you can have a charmful swim in the laguna. There are also chairs and an amaca to relax, and at night you can see the fish thanks to underwater lights. The hotel has 5 kayak that offer to the customers free of charge and you can visit the cenotes nearby. Bacalar town is 5 minutes drive away or 25 walking. They also offer breakfast with very reasonable prices and you can enjoy it in their terrace. One of our best staying during our trip around Mexico, super recommended!

The hostel had been only open a week and it was very well designed. All the staff were lovely and Armando was a great man who sorted out many things for me and made me feel welcome. Great hospitality. Great view. Nice pool.

The room was very clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with towels and soaps. The kitchen was very useful, it was always very clean and tidy and all of the utensils are in very good condition. The pool and chill area is very comfortable and relaxing. The host Santy was extremely kind and helpful with our check in and check out experience. He was always very eager to help with any questions and gave great recommendations. The location was excellent only half a block from the main square and a 5 minute walk to the lagoon. We were sad to leave such a beautiful place but will definitely be back again!

I liked the location and the view. My partner liked the air con. You're right at the lagoon, and have the view from the bed (the sunrise is a bit hidden by the trees), but it's still amazing to wake up to it at the lagoon and step onto the balcony in the morning. Compared to other place's prices, it's really good value. For the same price or more in other places around, you get a room in the back without a view. So just for the view and location I would book the place again. It's outside of bacalar, so it's quiet, but it's only 7 minutes drive to all the places in bacalar. We had some rain while we stayed, so couldn't be in the lagoon much, so we asked for a late check out, which was amazing, so we could go for a little swim in the morning before we left, which we really appreciated. We loved the palapa over the pier, it's small, and there is just space for a family at a time, but we were lucky that there were not many houses booked, while we stayed.

Fantastic host, she made us feel at home. The place had a great vibe. You can find all you need here (a small kitchen, a fridge, a big common area, showers, sinks, a line to dry the clothes), the place is very close to a free swimming area and an inexpensive private swimming area
