This is in a wonderful spot in the Ammeln valley, a short distance out of Tafraoute so your own transport is essential. Berber villages can be seen right along the valley, which is perfect for walking and cycling. Bio Berde is a great place to stay - excellent dinner and breakfast and the lovely Nezha and chef Hanane looked after us beautifully, with a little help from Moses the cat. We had a simple suite of 2 rooms for 3 nights with a very nice terrace where you can drink tea in the shade or the sun. Breakfast is included and there is secure parking.

With mountain views, Maison Tigmi Ozro is set in Tafraoute and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay.

Our stay at Tigmi Ozro was extremely pleasant: the surroundings are wonderful, which one gets to enjoy from the beautiful rooftop terrace but also from the balcony in one of the rooms. Bouchra is such a kind hostess, extremely helpful and provides you with all the information you’d need to explore and hike in the area. We had great conversations about Morocco and Berber culture. She took of her time to answer questions and even cooked for us.

With mountain views, Elmalara is situated in Tafraoute and has a restaurant, full-day security, bar, garden and outdoor pool. With pool views, this accommodation features a patio.

Great location, away from town, right under the "mountain lion"... Chatted to Yassine for ages, fab roof terrace, lots of character and beldhi stuff around the house, nice dining room. Yamina's Tagine was absolutely gorgeous, quality breakfast too. Top rate hospitality. Very good value indeed.

It is probably the best place to stay for backpackers and climbers. You are really in the center of Tafraoute and have everything you need available. You can walk to a lot of climbing spots around Tafraoute. Khadija made our stay even better with her amazing cooking skills and her kindness. We enjoyed her nice breakfast and dinner on the lovely terrace and drank the best orange juice I've ever had. :D I absolutely recommend going to the hamam with Khadija. You will see a traditional hamam. A nice experience. Notice for climbers: If you want to climb in the Ameln Valley or further away, I recommend you rent a car. It is really hard to get a taxi, and if you do, it is really expensive. Maybe ask Khadija; she knows a few private drivers. This is a little bit cheaper. :)

Since the first minutes I felt very welcome by the host and his family. They are genuine, hospitable people. We hung out and spend fun time together. Even the language barrier wasn't a problem thanks to technology. I really regret I couldn't spend more time there. The room was cozy and good looking. Equipped with all the facilities I could need, like a new soap, towels, shampoo, AC, and even the mosquito screen in window 🥰.

Abdullah was a very friendly and enthusiastic host. Rooms, furnishings and overall hotel seemed very well maintained, including the AC. Nice to have a private patio (as the pictures suggest, it doesn't have a view, just walls around it, but there is also a shared roof terrace). Good central location.

The room and the guesthouse were very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We found the breakfast was sufficient, with bread and brioches with jams, butter and honey and an omelette. The coffee was good and so was the tea. We particularly liked the location, on the main road, easy to find, just outside of town (8 minute walk to the centre of town and 2 minute walk to a good restaurant, a good supermarket and the CTM bus station). It was a lot more quiet and with wonderful views of the surrounding rocks and mountains. Said was a very kind host, always ready to help. We had seen several comments about lack of hot water. We didn't experience that until the last morning. The problem was that the water pressure in the area was very low (it happens at times), but we mentioned it to Said and he turned on the pump and the problem was solved: lots of very hot water in the shower! Though the wifi didn't reach the rooms, it was quite decent downstairs in the cafe area. We didn't find it a problem as we had our own data.
