We came to Merzouga for an overnight stay at a desert camp and added this stop for an extra night beforehand—which turned out to be perfect for a little rest in the middle of our road trip. There’s free parking, and we were able to park our car right in front of our room entrance, which was super convenient. The property is within walking distance of the dunes, and there’s a small supermarket about 4 minutes away by car. We really enjoyed lounging by the pool. The water was quite cold (we visited in late April), but with the heat outside, it was actually perfect for cooling off. We loved our room—it looked just like in the photos. It was very clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed, a mirror, and hangers for clothes. Even though it was hot outside, the room stayed pleasantly cool. We booked dinner for 130 DH (around 13€) per person), and both dinner and breakfast were really good. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind—we were even allowed to stay in the pool area after checkout, which we really appreciated. You could easily stay even 2 nights or more if you’re looking to unwind—this place is truly a gem.

Location and hospitality. I stayed with my mom here. We are Indians, I am from Canada. We arrived super early by bus from Fes and walked over in 20mins along the main road of Merzouga towards the dunes. Mohammad sorted us out with a room to freshen up and served us with delicious breakfast in the food hall, of course tea and coffee too. He organized a day trip with his contact Mohamed to see Khamaliya village, the nomad settlement and ride on the dunes. He also set us up with a dinner package by 4x4 at a desert camp with berber music. Both at reasonable costs. Due to high demand, camels were not available and were costlier than 4x4. We left early morning next day (bus to Ouarzazate) and again, Moha dropped us off with some food items to go so we don't go hungry. I am biased because I had a good time with Moha who is a commited and open minded human to have as a host. The room has attached bathroom with hot water. There is a terrace to see the dunes from. Merzouga main street with restaurants is a 10-15 minute walk. The location is superb, you can walk into the dunes right outside the gate.

The swimming pool is amazing, just in front of the dunes. The sunset was incredible, and you can just walk 3 minutes to reach the dunes an get lost in the desert.... the riad is very peaceful and beautiful inside, and food was really excellent. Hospitality was great, they organize everything attending your needs. I would definitively suggest if you come to the desert...

It was probably the best hotel we ever stayed. I don't even know where to start! Ali and his brother are very committed to maintaining the Berber culture and language. The tour 4x4 they organized exceeded any expectations. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, rooms clean, beds comfortable. The only regret I have is that I didn't go for Ali's camel overnight. We went for a cheaper tour with another company which was just mediocre. Everything in Maison Merzouga Guest House exceeded our expectations.

The location is stunning. We loved our very comfortable tent and slept soundly in the plush bed. The camp is beautiful and surrounded by dunes. We had an amazing dinner and the breakfast was delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the sunset camel trek in the dunes, it was a once in the lifetime experience. The night sky full of stars is breathtaking! 100% recommend this place!

Everything was perfect! Room was clean and comfy, dinner and breakfast were delicious and everybody were so kind and friendly. They also welcomed us the next day, after we came from sahara, for a cup of tea while we waited for our bus. I would definitely recommend!
