Comfortable rooms that seem newly renovated. All clean. We found no ants in our room. The hostess was one of the nicest people we have met in Sri Lanka. She was so welcoming and kind. Showed us animals and plants in her garden. The food was delicious and affordable, we even got complimentary smoothies. And the safari we booked through JAMI had a good price. Thank you!

Very nice and comfortable place. the staff are very well taken care of and prepare breakfast before an early safari. at the same time, the staff is also invisible, so you feel that the whole villa belongs to you (if there are no other guests). we spent most of our time on the terrace by the pool, meaning in the common area, which was very nice to be around.

We liked the location next to the lake and the huge amount of wildlife we could enjoy watching while sitting on the balcony or in the beautifully kept garden. The host family are extremely welcoming and we felt well looked after with suggestions on things to do and help arranging tuktuks etc. The home cooking was perhaps the best we have had in Sri Lanka and generous in proportion (1 dish will easily serve 2+) and well priced. We enjoyed a local specialty, buffalo curd with treacle see photos), amongst other dishes. The location is a little out of the city but we liked that it was quiet, peaceful and offered the lake view, the room itself is basic but what you need - think of it as glamping and the rustic nature part of the wildlife aesthetic.

It was briliant accomodation. Not far from the city. Very quiet a nice place. The rooms were clean and comfortamble. The personnel was very nice and also helpful. They arranged a trip to Yala Safari for good price. We drove early but we got breakfast takeaway. When we asked for dinner they prepared it. Also they recommended to us watching bats near the lake and drove us not only there but also to the next city.

We had a room in the tree house with a balcony overlooking the river and greeneries. Beautiful mornings - birds singing and jumping all around. Thinil and his team (family members and colleagues) were very kind and helpful. Thinil brought us for a trip on the first day to get to know the surrounding area better. He was telling a lot of interesting things about Sri Lanka's culture, history and nature. Absolutely recommend.
