A very nice property. I travel with my mom a lot. We had nice big and beautiful room with a refrigerator and a view for which I would pay even more. The washroom was nice and spacious. They have a tower to sit near the ocean, we had our evening tea sitting on it and trust me when you see the sunset from there you are gonna love it. The cleanliness is excellent. The staff was excellent. The owners were very nice and helpful. They helped us with our food and everything. They even told us where can we visit. They basically have a private beach with a secluded lagoon where if you are lucky enough you can see sea turtles. Overall everything was great. Loved it❤️

We stayed one night here but it was an amazing experience and we wish we had spent more time here.The hosts were great, very kind and friendly. The room was beautiful, comfortable and had a very nice bathroom with an open roof. They served us a delicious breakfast and lunch with fruits and vegetables from their garden. We felt like home at Aroshina and her family’s beautiful home. The house is located in a nice and quiet area about 15 to 20 minutes walking distance to the fort. Aroshina colourfully decorated the house with lots of love and we really liked all the beautiful exotic flowers and plants. The rooms including separate bathrooms are very well equipped (cupboards, hangers for clothes, table, chairs, van) and super clean. Dinner (on demand) and breakfast was just extraordinary! We can only warmly recommend this accomodation and would come back at any time! Thank you dear Aroshina for making us feel that comfortable!

Turtle Lamp Villa in Unawatuna is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a true Sri Lankan experience. It’s located about a 15-minute walk from the beach, and you can easily get a PickMe or Uber for convenience. The villa has four rooms, while the friendly owners live downstairs with their dog. They were very welcoming, and the owner's wife prepared delicious breakfasts for us every morning. The owner also checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. Our room was spacious and clean, with a separate kitchen, where we could cook or make coffee and tea. The private balcony was a great place to enjoy breakfast, and the bathroom had a shower (though the water pressure was a bit low, it added to the authentic Sri Lankan atmosphere). We loved getting to know the owners and experiencing their hospitality. There are also several restaurants and bars nearby for lunch or dinner, and we enjoyed fresh coconuts and fruits from local stalls. A lovely touch was the welcome drink – fresh coconut from their garden! If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic, and friendly place to stay, I highly recommend Turtle Lamp Villa for a relaxing getaway.
