Eventhough this property is listed in the (2021) lonely planet, it or its owner havent lost any of their charm. Flawless place with clean rooms, a decent breakfast and a superb host. Both rocks can be reached by foot and there are plenty of food optins in the area. We would come again for sure.

Very nice and service oriented staff and funny manager. They will help you with everything you have just to ask them. Had a very delicious dinner with a variety of curry's. The rooms are good. Bed and towels are clean too.

The property is literally in the jungle, and there are plenty of animals roaming around, from fireflies to birds, monkeys, reptiles and frogs, one even came out of the sink, but no worries, he was friendly. We had an observation tower above our room, which put us right above the treetops. Tasty food and very hospitable staff. You won't go wrong choosing tree trails for your stay in Sigiriya.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The patties were some of the best I’ve ever had. They also served bananas grown on their own farm, called "Naga bananas." I was surprised by their rich, sticky texture. Whenever I asked for help with things I wanted to do or places I wanted to visit, they immediately made arrangements. They were incredibly reliable and helpful. Also, their child was so cute—it was very heartwarming.

My best experience of homestay so far! The hosts are so friendly, it was so pleasant to have a talk! The cottage is clean and well designed, each has its own swimming pool, which is filled with water right before you arrival, and the water is changed daily. Our tire was punctured, and the host helped us to drive the car to the nearest service point, he also drived us to Sigiriya rock and back while our car was in service. The food here is also gorgeous! You don't have to find the nearest restaurant ;-) I am grateful for that experience!

This was one of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka over our 3 week trip, Lakshitha and his family were excellent hosts, the room was simple but brilliant, and the food was fantastic Details - spotless room - large double bed with great mattress and no problems for me (189cm) which I have had at other Homestays with hard wooden ends to the bed - bathroom was clean, also the shower had a small inset so that shower water didn’t get all over the place which was a nice addition - we were offered toothbrushes and razors which was very kind - air conditioning worked perfectly, and was quiet - bed had large mosquito net - towels and soap provided Hospitality was excellent, we were given juice on arrival, a fantastic and large breakfast included, as well as free bottled (cool) water throughout our stay with every meal. We were also offered transport (which we took to Negombo and was a fantastic quality car) and Safari tours (which we didn’t have time to do) at a price lower than what we were quoted on the street, Lakshitha doesn’t take any commission and is just trying to make your stay the best possible We would stay here again if we came back to Sigiriya for sure, this is an amazing stay, at a really good price.

During my stay in Sri Lanka, I was lucky to stay with many wonderful families, but this one definitely touched me in a special way. The room was clean and spacious, and while the location is a bit far from Sigiriya and Pidurangala, the family rented me a motorbike that was in the best condition of all the ones I rented in Sri Lanka. If you don’t want to rent a motorbike, they also provide tuk-tuk services. The hostess always served us tea or coffee with snacks in the afternoon and prepared the best curry I had in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. All of this would already be enough to give the stay a 10/10, but the best part was the conversations I had with the two hostesses. They are so sweet and shared a bit about their customs and what it’s like to live in Sri Lanka, both in the past and present. They were also very curious about my culture and family, and it was wonderful to exchange stories with them! Even with the language barrier, we understood each other perfectly. Thank you for all the care and kindness!
