We booked very short notice as we changed plans and upon our arrival everything was already arranged. We got tea and cakes for welcome and we even got the better room because they had a last minute cancellation and so it was free anyway. So we got a very nice view upon Nuwara Eliad as the hotel is located on a little hill. The whole place looks quiete new and pretty and they have a wonderful garden. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom big and clean. The breakfast was also very good and we could choose from different options. We unfortunately just stayed one night but we would definitiv come again. We could pay by card.

Compared to other accomodations in the area this one was rather cheap. The owners were very friendly and helped us organize some trips. The dinner and breakfast was really good! The room was clean and looked nice. It‘s a quiet area and there is a nice view from the terrace. We enjoyed being away from the city - but it‘s only a 20min walk down there.

I booked Lasanna Villa based on the reviews and ratings while travelling, as I was looking for a decent place to stay in Nuwara Eliya during my field visit to Horton Plains. My criteria for accommodation are simple: it should be affordable, offer a clean room and bathroom, and provide good food, as I don't spend much time in the room. Lasanna Villa exceeded my expectations in every regard. Firstly, my host, Kalum, was wonderful. He contacted me via text after I made the reservation and kindly offered to pick me up from the railway station. Upon my arrival, he greeted me with tea and cookies, engaging in a friendly chat to learn more about me and understand my needs for the stay and my travel plans. Although I had originally booked the room for just one day, Kalum spoke with the next guest who had reserved the room and arranged for me to stay a few extra hours. He also provided helpful advice on the best places to visit during my limited time in the area, as well as recommended restaurants for a good meal. Kalum even arranged a tuk-tuk to take me to Horton Plains early the next morning, packed a delicious breakfast, and ensured I had everything I needed for my field visit. His friend and my driver, Tharindu, was fantastic. He accompanied me throughout my trek in Horton Plains and was invaluable as I documented the local fauna and flora. Tharindu quickly became a good friend, and he managed to show me several notable sites in the area, including Galway's Land National Park, despite my short stay. He seemed to know many people in the town and was incredibly helpful throughout my visit. To top it off, it was my birthday, and what made the day even more unforgettable was the surprise I received when I returned to my room after a long day. Kalum, Tharindu, and their friends had arranged a small cake, which they had ordered from a well-known hotel. Their thoughtful gesture made sure my birthday and stay were truly memorable.

Honestly, this was the best accomodation I've been in Srí Lanka. Not because of luxury things or other stuff, but because of the family, the owners. It's near to the jungle, absolutely calmy in the night, little bit cooler so good for sleeping. Owners welcomed me with a pot of the. I could even use their kitchen for preparing my breakfast. Roshan helped me with everything. Room was very clean, nice bed. Thank you Roshan for your service! I definitely recommend this and definitely come back when I'll come back to Nuwara Eliya.
