Our stay was perfect. The host was super friendly and welcoming. We felt really comfortable. He gave us good advice on what to do in the area and I walked to the Lovers Leap waterfall the next morning (you can reach it quickly from the accommodation). Breakfast was huge and very good. We stayed just one night at Carnation Rest in Nuwara Eliya and it was a truly wonderful experience. The property, surrounded by beautiful, well-kept plants, feels like a mountain chalet: unique and charming for its atmosphere. Since this is a cooler area of Sri Lanka, the property offers all the comforts to best enjoy the lower temperatures. We were welcomed with excellent tea and biscuits, and the morning breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff, very kind, also recommended a restaurant that turned out to be an excellent choice. A wonderful place, with a unique and evocative atmosphere, that is definitely worth experiencing.
