We had a fantastic time at Blooming, what a tidy accomodation! Everything was incredibly clean and the rooms were great. The pool was also very nice. The family running the resort is just the very best! Such kind hard working people who go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Also, don't go out to get your dinner. You get a great meal at Blooming! We would highly recommend staying at Blooming when you go to Anuradhapura!

Amazing place. Great service, the family is so kind and really does everything to make your stay the best it could be. They helped me with arranging a reliable and friendly driver to get from the airport to the guest house, and we stopped multiple times so I could try local fruits, so sweet. The son of the household showed me around Mihintale, and the parents provided a lovely meal every morning and evening at my requested time - absolutely amazing food that will keep you going for days haha! The room was very nice and clean. I was looking for something a bit more fancy, and definitely got what I was looking for and for a great price. Super comfortable bed and pillows, soft sheets and a nice bathroom. Environment is super calm and great if you're looking for some peace and quiet. Peacocks, chameleons and beautiful butterflies all around, you can spot everything from the comfort of your breakfast table. Honestly couldn't think of any improvements!

Janaka is THE host—truly exceptional in the hospitality scene in Sri Lanka. He is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel completely at home, while also being highly professional and attentive to all our needs. He went out of his way to help us plan our days in Mihintale exactly as we wished—and what he managed to organize for us was no small feat! He was also genuinely concerned for our safety throughout our stay: while Sri Lanka is a very safe country, his attentiveness was still much appreciated. The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. It's rich with temples and spiritual atmosphere. Stay at Janaka’s place, ask him for advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

I had an amazing experience staying at the Andorra Rest House in Anuradhapura! The hospitality was top-notch, with the kindest service from the staff, especially the warm-hearted akka and ayya who made us feel like family. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to key attractions. The food was absolutely delicious, each meal a treat to the taste buds! Very hospitable and kind owner, helped us from the moment of booking and check-in. Also, thank you very much for accommodating us with a dog (this is rare) The family room is very spacious and equipped with everything you need, we even watched a movie via HDM cable. From the balcony we looked at the stars and enjoyed the evening, there is a refrigerator in the hotel, which also helped to preserve food and fruit. Everything went just great, we will definitely stay here again when we come! And there is also a small lake nearby, in which fish live (just like a house park)
