Villa Olde Ceylon is situated in a semi-urban area with the most beautiful natural surroundings.In this beautiful place I got three alternative rooms to make my choice and enjoy my independence.Although it is located in a semi-urban area I was able to witness a green and a calm surrounding. And the owner of this will is a very friendly person who can handle English, French and Italian languages.The delicious food that were prepared by them were typical Sri lankan and they had a unique recipe for that.It was a fine day.

I can't say enough kind things about this place. It's in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, surrounded by trees, flowers, and greenery, perfect for rest and relaxation. Town is a short tuktuk ride away -- or, a fairly easy downhill walk. The house is spacious and clean. I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Suraj the host, and the lovely cook Vishakha. They are both such gems: friendly, welcoming, bright, communicative, and just an absolute pleasure to be around. The food is excellent. Lovely all around!

Jaye was a nice and helpful host. I only stayed in Kandy for a short time but the homestay was great. Nice view overlooking the city but still walking distance to the center. Very clean and quiet. Would recommend!

Quiet property, beautifully landscaped and decorated. A bit off the main road, but quiet, safe and secure. Breakfast was hearty and staff were super nice.

After a few days in Sri Lanka this was our quietest night ! The room is comfortable and well equipped, with a small terrace in the garden. Very nice host.

Welcome drink was offered when we came. Rooms are great, has AC, fan. Big bathroom with hot water. House is big and clean. Breakfast was amazing. Owners are very nice, always smiling. City is not far away.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Wish I could have stayed longer. Location is ideal, being within walking distance of the city centre and many other Kandy landmarks. The hosts, Viper, his wife Lalanee (fantastic cook) and their assistant Jagarth are very friendly and helpful. Viper is a 'walking encyclopaedia' on all things 'Kandy' and a proud Sri Lankan, being a former air force captain as well as a champion rugby player (national level) in his youth. Very interesting chap! I stayed in the 'superior single room' which had a private bathroom and access to a very well appointed kitchen which (like the entire property) was kept spotlessly clean. The view of the surrounding mountains (including the famous 'Knuckles') is stunning from the main deck. The beautifully maintained garden is full of flowering plants and is a haven for many colourful birds and other interesting wildlife (including a large porcupine, that I was lucky enough to see). I will certainly stay at 'Tenthola', the next time I visit the beautiful city of Kandy.

we had the best stay at mount haven. The family was so kind and helpful. It was really special to have a room literally in the house of this family. The room had an amazing view, everything was clean, and the room has a lot of space. Also, we enjoyed the most special New Years Eve with the owner and his friends, at the neighbors house. The owner invited us to join them, drinking, eating and celebrating New Years. it was really special to experience this. Thanks alot again for inviting us. It was so nice to join the owner and his friends. highly recommended and would love to come back.
