The best hotel in Sri Lanka in my opinion and my wife's. Incredible view of tea plantations and clouds! Lots of walking paths. Excellent local cuisine, delicious coffee and the best service in Haputale! Stayed here 6 times: alone, with my wife, with my wife and children. Very comfortable mattress and cool weather which makes for a very good night's sleep. And I will come back more than once! Beautiful garden in the yard, delicious food, hospitable host. Lots of hiking routes nearby. Incredible view of the clouds right from the balcony, you can watch how the clouds are born and how they disappear. Feels like you are in paradise! I thank the creators for this place with all my heart!

The staff are wonderful. I must mention Bushbar who was so accommodating, kind and helpful. We had a delicious takeaway breakfast on checkout as we had an early train back to Colombo. The room was very comfortable, breakfast and dinner very good. Location is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute tuk tuk drive from the main street of Haputale which we loved. Great place to stay with plenty of walking through the tea plantations and small villages. Liptons Seat is only an hour tuk tuk ride away - the full day walk back to The Nest is beautiful. Highly recommend if staying in Haputale.

The owners are very kind and helpful people. The room and the bathroom also (with hot water and basic toiletries) were very clean, there is a nice view from the room. The room comes with some tea bags, a kettle and bottled water. Kalai prepared a nice breakfast for my request, it had some additional cost, but it was more than enough. She called a tuk tuk for me to the train station too. I highly recommend this place. :-)

This family guesthouse is a really wonderful experience. We arrived a little earlier than planned and the room was promptly made available for us. They helped with all of our questions & arranged a bike for us and we had a lovely breakfast every morning on the balcony. Absolutely loved our stay here. We learned cooking from Mamie, had a great dinner, visited Lipton Seat & had a beautiful walk back through the tea plantations. Wonderful owners, 100% would recommend.
