We had a fantastic stay. We arrived and were warmly welcomed. Our room was ready and it looked great. We had a room with sea view. We were immediately offered a beer on arrival and in the evening the host prepared fresh fish, shrimps, chips and rice for us. One of the best dishes we've had in Sri Lanka. The accommodation is located directly at sea, so you have a lot of peace here. The host is very helpful and will make your stay comfortable.

The owner was super hospitable, welcomed us with a couple of cold coconuts, always with a smile and trying to help. The room and the bathroom was super clean and it’s very close to the lake by walk and also you have the amazing trees with the Fruit vats 5 min walking distance. The location is far from town but better this way because is more quiet. You can also book the safary with him and he also offers food. Súper recommended!!!!

Priya’s property at Tissa was amazing. Comfort, cleanliness, nature, proximity to the nearby lake. Everything was perfect. Priya is a very educated host and a nature lover. He took us to the lake for birdwatching. He explained us everything about the animal species living there. He even took us to Tissa with his own Tuk Tuk to a cafe we had spotted. We were lucky to enjoy a full moon night from the balcony. We went on an early morning safari the next day and he had prepared take away breakfast for us. He also arranged our laundry. To sum up he did everything to make this experience magical. Our accommodation had the unique character of a local home. It was like it was personalised. Thank you Priya! Looking forward to coming again!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the wonderful hosts, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They spent time helping us plan our trip, offering invaluable advice about exploring Sri Lanka. Their two daughters and their playful kitten were the sweetest addition, making our stay even more special. The tree house is tucked away in a peaceful village, overlooking a breathtaking lake teeming with wildlife. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds and spotting turtles swimming by. The tranquility and beauty of the setting offered a truly authentic Sri Lankan experience. The home-cooked meals were simply divine—so delicious and served in generous portions! They also offer a selection of juices. Our room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable too. It is clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the rooms and making guests feel at home. One highlight of our stay was the Yala Safari with Janaka Safari. This is also a family business and the hosts can help organise. We highly recommend this company.
