United KingdomLocation great for those without a car - 5 minutes walk from the Senmo line station and good walking and cycling nearby. The hosts are helpful - they collected us from the station and took us back there for our early morning departure. They provided a (paid) taxi service so we could do the Mt Mashu hike and found bike hire for us. Meals are good and copious, and very social.

It was a very beautiful home. The hosts/staff were warm and attentive to our needs. Interior decor was cosy and comfortable, and place was very well maintained. It was the highlight of our stay and the owner and his wife, together with their cats made us felt welcomed and even prepared some information sheets on suggestions for our onward travels. It was truly a highlight of our trip here😊

Taka and Aki were great hosts, made us feel extremely welcome and had loads of great advice for the best things to see and do in both the local area and other parts of Hokkaido. The dinners and breakfasts were lovely with a wide variety of freshly prepared food - as they are served at one large counter table it is a great opportunity to meet other travellers and share travel tips and a few drinks :)
