The guesthouse was brilliant and exceeded our expectations. The location and view was amazing, and the traditional rooms were great. All the staff were really helpful and lovely to chat to. The bar/café was a welcome hangout and great to sit and enjoy a drink. Although it was at the top of the hill, the walk wasn’t hard and exploring up the hill was a real treat. Will definitely go back, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Yuji and Junko were so welcoming and helpful. We had planned to bike the Shimanami Kaido and Yuji was very responsive and helped us with bike rentals and luggage transportation. They picked us up from the ferry terminal and offered to drive us to the shops to get rain gear as there was some rain in the forecast the next day. They provided dinner recommendations and gave us little snacks to try. Junko made a delicious breakfast the next morning before our bike ride. The location is a short walk from the main shops/bike rental (~10 mins). Again they offered to drive us, but we didn't mind a short walk. Yuji and Junko are great hosts and we loved getting to know them. This was one of our favourite experiences on this trip. It felt more personal and homey than the hotels we had been staying at.

Sayomi was such a kind and generous host. The food she cooked was amazing (and plentiful) and we enjoyed staying in a traditional Japanese house. Sayomi also helped us to arrange the transport. We loved the massage chair.

The host could not have been friendlier, showed us around the house gave us tips on where to go and where to eat. The property was spotless and the location is a dream. The host has excellent English which makes everything so much easier. I wholeheartedly recommend this location for a holiday. We will certainly be going back if we are in the region again.

The hosts are super friendly. I was the only guest for the night and had the whole dormitory all to myself. Perfect for staying if you want to cycle the Shimanami Kaido! Common area and dorm were clean, bed was really comfy and warm, the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend.

The location is fantastic (setoda was such a hidden gem for me, I'm so glad it was raining in the morning and so I got to explore the area before re-embarking on my bycicle trip) The owner is welcoming, helping, caring, and I had such a wonderful time talking with him. The room and facilities were clean, good smelling, comfortable. Honestly, you get way more than you pay for. If I'll ever be around seto naikai again, I'll be sure to come back!!
