If you are an architecture fan, this is a MUST! You can still see how new everything is (to my understanding, the building was finished in Feb 2024), it supports a community life but at the same time, you have your privacy as well. The design is astonishing and the bed is super comfortable with luxurious blankets. Love it! I would pay the money for this accommodation again. (Also it is in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido route, which makes this place a perfect stopover.)

The guesthouse was brilliant and exceeded our expectations. The location and view was amazing, and the traditional rooms were great. All the staff were really helpful and lovely to chat to. The bar/café was a welcome hangout and great to sit and enjoy a drink. Although it was at the top of the hill, the walk wasn’t hard and exploring up the hill was a real treat. Will definitely go back, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed by Yuji and Junko. They picked us up from the ferry. The house we stayed at was comfortabel and clean. The breakfast was really nice. Renting (big😃) bikes was a piece of cake with the help from Yuji. Over the days we got to know Yuji and Junko. They're kind and pleasant people. Don't hesitate about booking your stay here! We had an amazing time.

Beautiful Japanese house, in a beautiful location. We stayed in 2 traditional rooms with tatami mats as a family of 5, it was very comfortable. The bathroom was shared with the owner, but there was a separate toilet next to our bedroom. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. ( The breakfast choice was Japanese or European, we had Japanese).Our bikes were wiped down before we set off by the owner as it rained in the night. Would stay again

Fabulous stay here, cannot recommend enough. The main thing that stood out for us was the service, the man who showed us round was so helpful, gave us really detailed directions to places, restaurant recommendations with little details, and helped us hire bikes and a canoe. Nothing was too small for him to help us with, and he even fixed the outside shade covering in the pouring rain!! The villa itself was perfect for what we needed, right on the beach (check for jellyfish!) and on the main cycle routes. Shops about a 20-30min cycle ride away, and there were great facilities for cooking. We had a BBQ three out of the four nights we stayed. Overall an 11/10 stay and would definitely recommend, and would love to stay again if we ever come back to Japan!! Thank you!!

Here you can live inside the village just next to a shrine and hear the bell sounds in the evening. A unique experience. Needless to say it was super clean, comfy with everything you need (a fridge, kitchen and more). The owner is so caring and super friendly! Stay longer than you planed and dive into the quite village live. <3

Great place to stay if you wamt to bile the Shimanami Kaido. It is aprox. 20 minutes from the bike rental at the station, but you can use it as a little warm up.
