The host was very friendly. She shared information on the attractions in the area, and recommended food places as well. She also provided additional breakfast free of charge and gave some home made souvenirs to us. Location wise was very convinient, 10min stroll to JR station, or a 2min drive.

Very pleasant night. The owner of the accommodation takes care of every detail, from your welcome with recommendations on what to visit in the area to a very good and complete breakfast in the morning completely free of charge. The room is very comfortable, futon on tatami, and there are two bathrooms to share with the other guests. You also have the possibility to leave your luggage in the accommodation before and after check-in and check-out. Highly recommended.

Super kind host, it seems that she absolutely loves what she is doing. Very helpful, gave us a lot of information so we could easily navigate the area in no time, even drove us to town to start exploring. She made us tasty breakfast free of charge, asked what we like and it was no problem that we are vegetarian. Look up ikkigai – that's what you experience there in action.

Nice family run acomodation, great location in the forest. The owners are very helpful, ful of stories and information. Make sure to get at least on dinner :)

A wonderfull place with so many beautiful, carefully thought out details. It's close to the station and it's very quiet. Yoshi is an amazing host. He helped us to plan our stay in Nikko so we could get the most out of it. On a hot afternoon he even put some beer for us in the fridge. Everything was perfect

Great stay. We stayed for five nights and had no issues. Great location. Clean and soo much snow. Our kids loved every minute!

About a 20-minute walk from the Nikko shrines, Annex Turtle Hotori-An is situated next to the Daiya river and green forests. It features hot spring baths with river views.

The owners were very helpful and kind. There is a common area where you can eat any food you have and make tea and coffee. The location was a bit out of the way but was in a beautiful location near the river. I would highly recommend staying here.
