Bed comfortable - lovely to stay in a ryokan. Marginally stressful with rambunctious 10yo and paper walls! The owner was amazing and exceptionally kind. My husband needed medical attention and he rang around to find out what was open on public holiday and then drove him to hospital, translated and drove him home. Incredibly kind and far far exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much!

This was by far my favourite stay of my Japan trip. Not only was the guest house absolutely stunning and tastefully furnished, within very close proximity to the deer park, I was welcomed so warmly and it really felt like home for the night I was there. Convenient location, short walk to the station/supermarket and close to Nara park. Got all needed amenities with instructions in English (and also Chinese). 1 room had futons, which were pretty thick and comfy while the other 2 had beds. Each room has a closet, but keep in mind that the stairs can be pretty steep depending on what you're used to. If you have heavy luggage, it might be best to leave it on the first floor.

The house was spacious and had everything you might need for a memorable stay including efficient AC units during the hot summer. Although there were only two of us the house will comfortably sleep up to six people. Two showers and toilets.
