Everything was perfect. The house is convenient, very clean and very well furnished. Also, there is a supermarket nearby where you can buy local products. We really enjoyed our stay there.

MaruHouse was our favorite accommodation during our Kumano Kodo trip. Check-in was smooth, and Maru was kind enough to pick up our bags from the station so we didn't have to walk the trail with all our stuff (turned out to be a great call since it rained a lot later in the day). The location is very convenient as it is a short walk from Kii-Katsuura station. The bath was great - equipped with hot water - perfect after a long day of walking. We were also really pleased to find a kotatsu in the common area. We cooked some of our meals, and the kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. The beds were clean and comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer - it was a very nice and well kept house!

It was very pleasant to stay here. The staff was super friendly, the room was cozy and the futon was very comfortable. The private onsen was amazing. The closeness to the train station is very convenient.

What a great stay! Traveling with 2 teenage boys, we have enjoyed our 2-night stay very much. The host was exceptionally nice and she even speaks a little english. The view from the living room is superb and it has been great to sleep to the sound of the waves, the wind and the ocean. We all 3 slept very well on the futons in the traditional tatami room. And then the breakfast ... mad with much love in "continental" / western style with truly tasty fruits (kiwi, oranges, apples)...
