The owners were super friendly, and they created in general a super welcoming and homey atmosphere. We had great exchanges with the people there. Very good location as well. Parking is available with a fee. Highly recommend, especially if you feel like socializing.

I really liked the hospitality of the owner. She explained and suggested us which onsen to visit and what are the closing time of souvenir shops. The location was also located near all the good places to visit in Kusatsu.

I really enjoyed staying at Villa Alpen! This ski in ski out hotel is quiet old but the atmosphere there is so peaceful. Onsen works 24 hours! It is a great bonus. The continental breakfast and Japanese style dinner served. All good! The staff is very friendly. The ski resort is consisted of multiple small resorts and they all interconnected. The owners accommodated all my needs and were very helpful and kind! I will be back for sure!
