The room is huge and very comfortable! It looks a bit dark on the photos, but it's so much better then that! It's right in the center of the old village, but you won't hear anything from the outside really. The seating area is really nice and we loved the provided breakfast. The kitchen is beautiful and convenient as well. The bathroom is really spacious.

If you love a lovely atmosphere reminiscent of Studio Ghibli films, Hayashima is your city, and this traditional guesthouse feels like a fairy tale. It's an absolutely amazing place. You can relax in the main room, enjoying a drink or a meal while taking in the view of a traditional Japanese garden filled with birds and dragonflies. The garden and quiet environment are wonderful. The town is small and cozy, making it a perfect base, just a few stops away from Okayama. The guesthouse owner is incredibly kind and helpful.

The property was as shows through the photos. Very clean, very artistic driven. Very close to the fairy to art island. And many delicious restaurants near by.

Max leads a really great team who work to ensure they provide good information for customers going to/from the Art Islands .. ferries etc. Lovely cafe to enjoy some food, a drink, or to meet and chat with other travellers. Lovely breakfast of fruit with yoghurt and granola, wide range of breakfast buns/sandwiches. Nice coffee. We recommend and would return

Property is clean and beds are super comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It’s an older house, but facilities are great - really good value. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the station and loads of food options which was perfect for us.
