I enjoyed my stay with the very friendly owners. Had a great meal and a nice evening together in the restaurant, meetings like this are part of what makes travelling great. Basic Japanese style room, but all perfectly clean. Great location and good value for money

The host was phenomenal, when we didn't know where to eat she called many different places to check their hours and sent along a ton of reccomendations the next day. She also always greeted us warmly not matter when we left or came back. Not only that, but the location was fantastic, being in the heart of Higashi Chaya district in an old geisha house. A lot of the architeture and items from when it was used by geishas' were still there.

Close to the temple district with many charming buildings (including this one). Traditional house with modern amenities. Very authentic japanese experience. Yumiko was an excellent hostess – she even picked is up at the station! What a sweetheart!
