Great communication from the hosts; very helpful with our luggage, great suggestions for dining options, friendly and welcoming. Excellent location, easy to get to the places we wanted to visit. Very clean house, equipped with all that we needed for our stay.

Nice, quiet area. Just what I was looking for. Bed was so comfortable I was actually surprised! I was able to use the washing machine for free. Masumi cooked me some udon one night, only ¥500. I ate lots of delicious fruit while there which was free or cheap. Masumi was the most helpful, friendly host. She really cares about you :) thank you Masumi

The host was so nice and kind! He spoke excellent English, and was very accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone going to Arashiyama. Great location, too!

Everything, wonderful team, the owners truly treated us as 'guests'. The perfect way to arrive as first timers in Kyoto. Slept very well, super breakfast. Despite other guests in a compact space, the Guesthouse ambience made us all very respectful and accommodating. Great location a little away from the tourist scene but has it's own local charm and easy walking reach from temples and sightseeing. Coffee in the lounge in front of the bog tree just what we needed in the morning.

The guesthouse is situated close to Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace, making it a good spot to explore this side of Kyoto. We had a lovely two-night stay and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our room was cozy with a charming small garden. Kayoko-san treated us to special teas in the evening, which was a delightful surprise after a day of exploring the city.

I stayed for more than two weeks at the hotel. I had a great stay. The bathroom and shower room were always perfectly cleaned. The people working there were very nice and helpful. The bedding was comfortable. And the hotel is very calm.

Wonderful little hotel with amazing rooms like tiny apartments with everything you need..kitchen, washing machine, comfy beds, little things provided like coffee, tee, detergent, slippers, shower gel,...very nice staff...about 10min walking from train station...on the way there we saw one street with so many little restaurants...gion is quite a walk about 40min but we enjoy seeing the city like this...very clean, really highly recommended
