The hosts are very lovely. They have bbq facility on site (1500 yen fee) which I highly recommend! It’s nice to have outdoor bbq. However, keep in mind that you will need to bring your own ingredients. To access this accomodation you will require a car as it is a bit far from the downtown.

This place is unique, it was a fun stop with our 2 kids to discover this beautiful school, with a huge and impressive gymnasium. We had a nice, comfy and fun stay. The staff was very kind and super helpful.

Spent one night with my 72yo mother, hiking the postal route. Magome Chaya have great hospitality, delicious meals, and comfortable and authentic Japanese accomodations. The location is perfect: Right on the postal route. We would especially like to thank our host, lovely Jeng, for her sensitivity and kindness to my mother (First time in Japan and needed some extra help ;)) We had a wonderful time and strongly recommend the mintshuko!

Perfect place to escape the world. No internet was a blessing, cooking over a fire and still a very close short drive from other iconic post town walk tracks. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely stunning small guesthouse, beautifully and authentically renovated and furnished with local furniture and family heirlooms by the owners Ken and Yuki. A serene atmosphere pervades throughout. Located in the upper part of Magomejuku. Delicious homemade food for dinner/breakfast including curry with homegrown rice, homemade jams, plum wine. (And they can cater for vegetarians). If we could give this guesthouse a higher rating than 10/10 we would!

Beautiful old Japanese guesthouse in the middle of magome. The welcome was great. The host drove us to a restaurant as the village was quiet because of the holiday period. Japanese breakfast served when we asked in the morning.

Amazing and very clean place in a really beautiful area. The owner fantastic and very helpful. She pick me up from a bus stop, reserve ticket for me and even drive me to my bus stop to Nagoya! If you want a calm and cozy stay you should book this one.
