The owner is really kind! The place is really big, super nice and has everything we needed and more. The location was perfect in between the hikes we did. The restaurant of the owner is the perfect place to eat at Night! Really cosy place in a nice little village.

Wonderful "old world charm" hotel with private onsen indoors & a hot springs river flowing outside! Much appreciated after a day of walking the Kodo trail. Dinner & breakfast very good. Bus stop outside the door. Staff extremely helpful & friendly. A delightful origami gift from the owners beautiful little daughter ❤️

Perfect location, close to the bus stop, Kumano Kodo and Hongu Taisha. Places to eat and Cafes are a short walk away as well as a Post Office which has ATMs. The house is a home from home, well equipped, comfortable, nicely designed and clean. There is a hot and cold water station in the kitchen as well as a stock of snacks, carefully selected catering for all tolerances. There is even a separate laundry room, where I quite happily washed and dried. What sets this place from the rest is the consideration that has gone into everything to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and as pleasant as possible, which in it self, reflects the thoughtfulness and kindness of the host. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I was 5 km far from the guesthouse while I booked it on Booking, I just finished the mountain part of Kumano Kodo Kohechi at 18:00. The owner contacted me on Booking immediately, and told me she can drive to where I am (a restaurant) to pick me to Guesthouse Yui, so warm!

Everything was perfect, the room was spacious and had a very comfortable queen sized bed, the place was quiet and you can get a good night sleep. The shared facilities are clean and the kitchen is quite big. I enjoyed a beautiful sunset in the porch. The guy working there was super friendly and helpful. A good location if you want to shorten the walk to Hongu.

Exceptionally clean. Having a sink in the room was super convenient. The location is in the middle of nowhere with no cafes or restaurants, but it's 3 minutes to a bus stop and there's a wonderful supermarket next door that sells absolutely everything. Techan is a really kind and generous host. He offers free drinks/snacks and use of washing machine/ dryer for a donation, which can be dropped into a can. He allowed me to keep my luggage downstairs after checkout and even gave me a lift to Hongu.
