The location might seem a little far from the train stations, but the host offered afternoon pick up and morning drop off services. (If you don't have a lot of luggage to carry, the walk is easy enough too.) I saw information that guests can rent a bicycle now too, although I didn't ask about that. The room and bathroom had everything I needed. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming (and spoke English too), and the facilities were clean and comfortable. As mentioned in the information, they do have pets, but don't let that scare you off if you aren't a pet person -- the animals didn't seem particularly interested in the guests anyway.

The place is located in a quiet estate away from the main GIfu station area, and yet it’s serviced by multiple bus lines. The house is near the famous cormorant fishing area, and has a nice long promenade to take a stroll during cool days. Gifu park is also within walking distance and has many attractions around the area as well. The owner is really friendly and shares suggestions on places to visit. Looking forward to visiting Gifu again!

I don't usually leave reviews but I wanted to share our experience at this Ryokan. My wife and I have been in Japan for 10 days and this has been our highlight of the trip. Hiro and his wife were wonderful hosts and made us feel extremely welcome. Dinner and breakfast were spectacular and the whole experience felt like a traditional Japanese homestay. We would highly recommend this stay to anyone who is travelling to Japan!

It’s well equipped , clean , location is good .. very near the train station n restaurants . Staff is friendly and helpful .

Very nice accommodation. Not super close to the main attractions but good transport links so not really a problem. It was clearly a new venture and everything was immaculate. The lady who ran it was absolutely lovely although communication was slightly difficult but manageable. Would highly recommend staying here.
