This 400 year old guest house is pure Japanese charm, tradition and hospitality. We were welcomed so warmly, and treated to a history lesson with the artefacts and story of the pilgrim resting place. Sure it’s basic, with walls of paper and futon beds. But very special and memorable.

Great stay! They have a pick up and drop off to the nearest train station. There’s a family mart next to it and 20mins walk to the train station. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect. The hosts are incredibly kind and the place is very nice and comfy. It's a bit further from the other lakes but there are buses to go to Kawaguchi-ko and then from there to the other lakes
