I was travelling with my sister, we loved the style of the house, it's very authentic. Our room was big with its own bathroom, and we even got toothbrushes. There is a billiard table in the living room, and a big pool just outside, where the view is also very nice. Our host Antonio was amazing, he was telling us about Jamaica, and he is a really good cook. I felt like home there. There is a shopping centre with supermarkets and restaurants which is 16 minutes walk away, or you can ask Ray - a cool old guy with a route taxi - to drive you around for 500JMD. The airport was 10 minutes by taxi.

The place was well organized and clean. The shower was great! There is a small fridge with bottled water, a kettle, slippers and bathrobes and the tv is big. My room was comfortable and I felt safe. There is a beach nearby.

African Symbol and Yoko are local treasures. They showed me around, including a free local secluded beach perfect for swimming or sunset, the recording studio and record shop (wow!) and pointed me toward amazing events - a local Agricultural festival on the mountain with wonderful food and music and THE annual commemorative Bad Friday Rasta event with family, dozens of local bands, spoken word, food, crafts and discussions impacting the community past and present. The recording studio is the second largest in Jamaica after Marley's. They both perform and tour. They are a true part of Jamaica itself. There are mountain views in a garden setting with fruit trees including mango, jackfruit and ackee, and aloe pants. It's barely a 10 minute walk through a quiet, upscale neighborhood with beautiful homes and views of the beach, to local restaurants ranging from seafood on the water, to jerk at Scotchies, patties and curry, and to stores for daily needs. The local route taxi is easy to catch and cheap to catch downtown or for shopping at Whitter Plaza. My room was clean and bright, with a fridge and even a small glimpse of the ocean through the trees. The guest house truly utilizes sustainable practices.
