The design of the room - super detail oriented. The colors - cheering the mood :) And there were some artsy details. You can't get a better location - just in the front of the Duomo. Best choice in Como for people who look for something interesting and at the same time cosy and calm. The girls from the reception were very friendly and welcoming. You could see that our hostess paid attention to every detail, from the rich breakfast to coffe and tea being available at any time, to the towels and coverlets matching the colours of the room to the beautifully handcrafted furniture. Thank you, Patricia, for your hospitality and all the good advice you gave us on how to best spend the three days we had in Como.

We have stayed in many different types of accommodation in Italy over many years. This was exceptional in so many ways. The website describes it as an urban luxury house. I can only add that it is stylish and elegant without being pretentious. The staff (and the owners)are thoughtful, kind and gracious. Breakfast is a delight with an extensive range of juices, fresh fruit, cheeses, hams, bread and delicious pastries and biscuits. And the selection of drinks and "nibbles" at"Aperitivo" was a great start to eating out at local restaurants. The staff provided a list of recommended restaurants which stood us in good stead. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and regularly refreshed. Throughout the Palazzo there were wonderful evocative fragrances, and interesting collections of traditional and contemporary objects and paintings. The weather was mixed but we were exceedingly comfortable and look forward to returning in sunnier months to enjoy the garden.
