Guest Houses in Carloforte

Aquamadre Suites are perfectly positioned in Carlforte, in the San Pietro Island region. We travelled by ferry as foot passengers and the suites are a short walk away from the port. We booked the superior king with balcony and view and it was beautiful, as was the view. All the rooms are lovely (I had opportunity to look during your stay). Due to our ferry timings and early arrival time we were very kindly permitted an early check in which was much appreciated. The toiletries provided smelt heavenly and the coffee machine and facilities very welcome. Lots of suggestions of where to go and what do provided pre arrival and we were contacted during our stay to check all was ok and if needed anything further (we didn’t but how nice to check on us). Beautiful and clean suite with great communal areas. Aquamadre suites overlooks the salt pans. We walked along the via del sale nature trail during our stay and loved watching the bird life including the flamingos coming and going. So relaxing. The team at Aquamadre Suites especially Laura and the kind lady who made up the rooms each day extremely pleasant and accessible. There are only three rooms and as a consequence everything is personalised. Would highly recommend staying. Breakfast is not offered however there is a lovely little cafe a couple of minutes away which was fabulous.

We were met by Michaela, who had been super responsive on what’s app prior to our arrival. The room was lovely with lots of really nice touches including coffee and toiletries. I’d made an error when booking rooms and Michaela was able to resolve it straight away. The cooker is fed by gas bottle typical on the island and had run out, I notified them and it was replaced the next day. Not too much of an issue as there is an electric kettle in each room and a coffee machine in the shared kitchen. There is a small fridge in each room as well as a fridge in the communal kitchen. It’s in a great location with lots of places to eat close by. The en-suites are really well done, the shower is unexpectedly powerful and the hot water provides sufficient hot water. As we stayed at the end of March, it’s still a little chilly in the evenings and early morning but each room has its own AC which provided heat.

The decor was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, the staff friendly, the breakfast was fantastic and the location was a nice walk to the Centre.
