Where to start? The staff and the owners are super friendly, there is a hot tub and a sauna for everybody, breakfast was really good (fresh made waffles!!!), the beds were so comfy and the guesthouse is the perfect spot for day tours all over the region - it feels like staying for some days! We were allowed to feed their animals and got lots of good suggestions what to do. Check in was the easiest I have ever seen. Go there!

By the time I arrived in Selfoss, it was already Christmas Eve night, and the entire town was deserted. Fortunately, the restaurant beneath the hotel was still open, and I got to try some traditional Icelandic dishes. There were no staff in sight at the hotel, but the overall process and check-in experience were very satisfying. The hotel had parking spots both in front and behind, which was very convenient for someone like me traveling by rental car. Overall, the first day of my Iceland trip started with a delightful stay at this hotel!
