The location of the cabin is secluded and allows to easily see the northern lights. The view around is amazing - it is difficult to describe in words its intensity in the middle of winter. We watched it and the glow from the cozy dining area and it was spectacular. Very short driving distance from the photogenic mountain Kirkjufellsa. The beds are very comfortable, the wood paneling on the walls makes you feel good. The access road is in good condition, there is an adjacent parking lot. The owner lives nearby and is available for any questions or requests. We couldn't ask for more. For us, the place is very special and was perfect.

the location is perfect as you have the perfect view of the mountain when you cook in the common kitchen. The kitchen as well was very well equipped (spices, oil, vinegar, dry food) and there were some home made knitted sweaters and mittens you could buy. The room was great and lovely and the best things were the very dark curtains - this comes in very handy when you are trying to block the light from april to august. The bathroom was maybe a bit older but everything was working well. I would def recommend it

This was a perfect secluded location in the west of Iceland! The room was warm and spacious, had cooking facilities and a nice bathroom. It was a perfect cosy spot for a night, I would have happily stayed longer!

There was a slight language barrier but still the welcome felt very warm. The accomodation was great, I even slept there like I was at home and honestly wanted to stay longer. It was great! I looked out of the bathroom window and I could see horses just horsing around near the mountain.

Fantastic position with views of Kirkjufell and a great big fully equipped kitchen for cooking in with crockery and utensils supplied. Our room was big and sunny and very clean. The free voucher for coffees at Valeria coffee roasters was the icing on the cake as this columbian owned cafe had the best coffee in Iceland! Super friendly and helpful hosts who helped us with information on road conditions ( which were treacherous when we visited early April).

What a special place! Such lovely people and they upgraded my room on arrival for free, which was wonderful! The breakfast was fantastic and had a great selection of hot and cold things. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and I saw the aurora right from my porch!
