Ba was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early in the morning (5am) and Ba offered us a room to use until ours was ready. He also showed us to the Jain temples nearby when he had some time. The views from the place and our room were amazing. We stayed in the deluxe double room with balcony which gives you a private view looking out from the fort into the city and the amazing sunsets. On the top floor there is a terrace, from there you can get views peaking into the fort and overlooking the city. The food in the rooftop restaurant was delicious. We recommend the masala egg curry, egg chow mein, and the kadhi pakora. We also went on Ba's 3 day 2 night camel safari which was the absolute highlight of our India trip.

The best welcome we’ve had in Rajasthan! The house is right in the middle of the fort, with a wonderful view on Jain temples and on the old city. We were given a higher standard room than the one booked. The guys managing the guesthouse are very nice, helpful and respectful. They managed our transportation, took care of our luggage and prepared fresh food for us whatever the time of the day. They proactively shared with us all the activities to do in the city and the best shopping adresses. We would like to visit the guesthouse again!

Really cute rooms with the natural brick. Very comfortable and got the rooftop to myself to enjoy views over the city. Plus the coffee shop the owner has just round the corner is amazing for the first thing in the morning! So happy with the stay!

I got suspicious because of all the good rates for Kamal, but he is in fact just doing a really good job! The guesthouse is located inside the fort with a beautiful rooftop - a perfect place to enjoy a calm view onto the city. The food from the restaurant was good (and offers no-spicy options if you're struggeling with that). The room was newly renovated, well mantained and very clean. I even got a free upgrade. Felt like heaven to sleep there. Kamal offers free pick-up and/or drop-off which is super helpful as the fort can be like a maze. He further gives a lot of information to make your trip to Jaisalmer unforgetable. He is super helpful, nice and fun but doesn't try to sell you anything (e.g. a camel trip to the desert if you're not interested). Would highly recommend to stay there - especially considering the very low price.

We had a memorable 1 night stay at Desert Vista Camp. Shambhu was very prompt and responsive in his communication. We were picked up at the airport and it was a start of a wonderful experience. Shambhu and his team were warm and welcoming. The tent and bathroom were clean. The accommodations had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast and meals were delicious, prepared with local ingredients. Desert safari and camel ride was the highlight of our visit. We enjoyed the cultural program as well. We also took a tour of Khaba fort, oasis and cenotaphs in the area. It was totally worthwhile! Would definitely recommend Desert Vista camp to anyone looking for an enjoyable and peaceful experience. It was the best part of our stay in Jaisalmer.

Amazing guest house in the centre of the fort at a very affordable price! I loved my room, very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The staff is very kind and helpful, at disposal at all times and very respectful. Food is also great and affordable, with both Western and Indian options, so I ate at the rooftop restaurant of the guest house every day. I especially liked the quietness throughout the day and night and the spectacular view from the rooftop, both for sunrise and sunset. The owner also helped me to arrange safari trip, which I enjoyed a lot! This place will be my base every time I visit Jaisalmer in future, for sure :)!
