I'm traveling through India and have visited several places. The most interesting thing is that this hotel is located inside a fort. Its streets are cobblestone, and inside, it has all the amenities you need. The hotel owner is a very kind and gentle person; he shares his wisdom with visitors.

Charming hotel with beautiful views and a great location inside the fort — just 2 minutes from the Chandraprabhu Jain Temple and 3 minutes from the Jaisalmer Palace Museum. The room and common areas were clean and tidy, and the bed and linens were excellent. The place has a warm, family-like atmosphere where I felt safe and well cared for. Having breakfast on the rooftop was a lovely experience — despite the extreme heat in May, the mornings were still fresh and pleasant. Card payment is accepted, which is very convenient. Ramesh was incredibly kind and always available to help, and Lala (the owner) and his family truly made me feel like part of theirs. Such a wonderful stay in Jaisalmer — I’m truly grateful for the entire experience.

The Golden Vista Guest House is an outstanding place to stay in Jainsalmer. Not only is it inside the walls of the Jainsalmer Fort, but since it is basically at the edge of the wall, it also features a terrace and also rooms overlooking the city from the top of the ramparts, and yet it is within less than two minutes walking distance from the Palace and the main square. In the restaurant one gets not just served breakfast, but can eat at almost any time. Perfect! Very special mention deserves Kamal, the manager of the guest house. Very fluent in English and having a pleasant personality, he picked me up at the airport, let me join a small group of his guests for a walk through the town and generally went out of his way to accommodate me - I could even get a special arrangement for the desert tour that suited my interests. And to top it off: When I wanted to board the bus for my next destination, the bus was not at the expected point of departure. Was it not for Kamal, I certainly would have missed it; but Kamal not only drove me quickly enough to the right place but took me personally to my place in the bus and made sure I was okay. In short, and without the least hyperbole: Kamal is THE BEST AND MOST CARING HOST I EVER ENCOUNTERED on my numerous travels. If I could give a 12 rating for staff, I would gladly do it!

*If you are looking for a peaceful desert experience, this is the place. *Shambhu and his staff are all super friendly and welcoming. No hassle. Easy communication via WhatsApp. *Tents are spacious and clean. Beds comfortable. Best shower we had in India so far. *The camp lies further away from the road, so no light nor sound pollution. Pick up and drop from/to Jaisalmer can be arranged. * We did the sunset camel safari with dinner in the dunes. The camels seemed well taken care of. The desert trip was beautiful and we saw millions of stars. * Food is Indian home cooking style. We liked it very much, but depends on your taste of course.

We had a really great experience at Diamond Guest House. They made us feel like part of the family. We left for Khuri for a day, and they kept our luggage for us and even let us take a shower when we came back to pick it up. We ate twice at their restaurant, and the food was some of the best we had in India. The rooftop is great, but the absolute winner for us was the shared space one floor below, with windows overlooking the Jain temple and providing a cool escape from the scorching heat of the sun.
