This 4 star boutique guesthouse is really an architectural masterpiece. What looks like a traditional stone house outside is pure elegance and comfort inside. Traditional stone walls are combined with solid wood elements, large tiles and metal elements. We very much enjoyed the calm and relaxing adults-only atmosphere, while using the private fitness room and private pool in the garden. Guest are being served delicious coffee variations and drinks during the day. The „Urban Garden“ wine and cocktail bar with food in the evening (starting at 18:00 o'clock) is definitely one of the most recommendable places, and open also to external guests. You should make a booking at Casa Columba when on your way between Split and Dubrovnik. Cleanliness and friendliness deserves the highest grade. Nearby underground parking spaces ( 6 min walk) in a closed garage are very comfortable.

We stayed at the apartment with 2 children (6 and 8 years old). Everything was perfect for a family vacation. Clean and big modern rooms, washing machine, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, own garage for the car and a big terrace with sea view. Approaching the apartment by car is a bit tricky, don´t follow the Vaze or Google Maps till the end, at the last corner to the left just continue straight and when you see a brown railing to the left with a very narrow street, thats the way you have to go up. For us Makarska beach was very crowded (been there twice) so we travelled every day by car to Brela which was a gem in terms of Croatian beaches. Shopping Mall is 8 minutes by car and easily approachable, first 2 hours parking is free in the garage after that fee for every hour is 2 Euros.
